The series follows the exciting adventures of the Philips family,  founders of the worldwide Philips company – in the United States known as Norelco.  The family became a world leader in many playing fields.

The Philips Dynasty is a thrilling series that follows a beautiful history full of unexpected stories.

The family even helped their famous nephew Karl Marx  by financing the writing of his book ‘Das  Kapital’. At the same time, Karl Marx was secretly in love with the youngest daughter of his benefactor.

The family became extremely wealthy and rich.

But what goes up, comes down.

The series follows in 30 dramatic and, sometimes simply hilarious episodes of 50 minutes each, a family of Jewish immigrants and their descendants, who rather soon became well-respected in their new country, The Netherlands.

The family cleverly fought their way up in society.

They survived  ‘The Great War”, World War 1 and even World War 2 – the latter in New York where they actively survived in close co-operation with an American Intelligence Agency.

The series is a thrill pleasing its audiences.

The series starts in 1750 and can be seen as a marriage between the English Television Series ‘Downtown Abbey and the American movie ‘Wallstreet’.

The Philips family created an industrial empire that stretched from entertainment- to defense systems and everything in between. At a certain point  in history they employed more than 400.000 people in factories all over the world.

A full dramatic outline of the series is available, written in 30x synopsis of 2-3 pages each.

Catman,   a bio-tech thriller
Logline:
The Catman is the first experience of Harvard biotech professor Blumenfels, who believes to be close to discover the fountain of youth by Xeno transplantation. (= Implanting animal parts in humans). His experimental clinic is funded by his eccentric wealthy clients. The Catman is genetically mutilated and behaves like a wild cat. Some friends accidentally enter this bizarre world of Blumenfels. The Catman  is dangerous and extremely skittish creating plenty of commotion, tension and sensation. Even when Blumenfels finally manages to burn the eyes of the Catman, he still escapes.

Logline:
To impudent mates, one fat and stupid, the other thin and smart, run a shabby 2e hand shop and obtain a precious amulet from a classic Chinese Mandarin. The amulet is part of two stones, Yin and Yang, and determines the balance on this planet earth that is disturbed after Djengish Chan stole one part in China.  Everybody is after that stone since then. John Glad and Peter Sting follow it all over the world from the cold North to dark Africa, from East to West, North and South. They encounter pygmies, terrorists and thieves before they finally return the amulet safely to the Imperial Palace in Peking and thus restore the balance of life on earth.

Logline:
Two prisoners are brought to a remote cruel prison in a mountainous country where the warden demands organs from his inmates as a compensation for both their crimes and his own benefit.

An attempt to violently escape succeeds. An immense chase is the result. One of the men meets a lovely rebellious woman. They fall in love but their past haunts them. In a spectacular rescue they finally manage to escape.

Logline:
The hooker and her heroic tenor. Love and romance: a musical. 

Violetta is a happy hooker in the famous red light district of Amsterdam. She is charming, funny and beloved. Everything comes her way. She is fond of opera and likes to sing herself. Her life drastically changes when she meets Fabio Paresi, a famous Italian heroic tenor. But a hooker never should fall in love. What seemed a way up is the beginning of a downfall into misery and death.

CHARLEMAGNE

Logline:
Love, religion and war in the medieval empire of Europe Life is pretty at the court of Charlemagne.

There are tournaments, there is abundant eating, drinking and love in the empire. Until the troops of Islam attack. After a few serious battles Charlemagne  manages to defeat the Muslim men. But Roland is attacked in the back as he guards the rearguard of Charlemagne. He blows the ‘elephant’ horn for help but it is too late for Charlemagne’s return.
